The Prevailing Wage Law in California covers the payment of wages, recordkeeping, and the apprentices' employment. The penalties for non-compliance are stiff.
Classes will be covered in two days:
- Wednesday, February 18th 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM in-person or virtually (Prevailing Wage)
- Wednesday, February 25th 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM virtually (Skilled and Training Workforce)
Join Cook Brown LLP Partner Carrie Bushman to learn about all aspects of the state's prevailing wage law, including the types of work and projects that are covered. Attendees will learn how to read and interpret prevailing wage determinations, whether and how to take credit for employer fringe benefit payments, and various apprenticeship requirements.
Additionally, the class will focus on skilled and trained workforce requirements applicable to certain jobs, including which types of projects include skilled and trained workforce mandates and the requirements for employing apprenticeship program graduates.
Virtual or in-person attendance is available and will be checked according to registration.
