With a half-million cardiac arrests each year, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) can help save a life if a person's breathing or heart stops. It's not just for healthcare workers and emergency responders. In fact, CPR can double or triple the chance of survival when bystanders take action. The Adult First Aid/CPR/AED certification training through the American Red Cross will help employees be prepared to act when emergencies arise. Students will learn crucial steps through classroom learning and hands-on skill practices on recognizing emergencies, performing CPR, how to use an AED, saving someone from choking, handling life-threatening bleeding, and more! Certifications are valid for 2 years.
Instructor: Damian Aguilar - Damian is a Lead Safety Business Partner at Bizhaven, providing safety proficiency and compliance guidance to his clients. Damian has developed his safety experience through working in healthcare, manufacturing, cannabis and general industry fields. He holds a master's degree in Kinesiology from Humboldt State University and is credentialed as a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) as well as a Certified Early Intervention Specialist (CEIS). He is devoted to helping clients develop their safety awareness by becoming an asset to both employers and employees through guidance. Damian excels as an educator and fuels his passion by helping clients meet their safety goals.
